Top 10 STL Files For 3D Printing (23/04/24)

I have started to create a list of the best STL files I find and thought it would be cool to upload it to the website. This is obviously subjective and you might not agree with them all but hopefully you will find a gem amongst them. In no particular order..

1. NEURAL NETWORK ON YOUR WALL STL

3. Floating rock display Planter V2

Floating Rock Planter STL Recommended to print with a lot of supports and 0.1 nozzle if you want the top engravings to look nice 🙂 (from community feedback I haven’t printed it yet to be clear)

4. Fallout light sign STL

Fallout Light 3D Print STL 1 Hello all, here is another fusion project. I have watched the show and liked it so I have decided to make a light sign. You can also print mushrooms or not. There is a picture where you can see all the wiring. Just use the cheapest USB LED strip and a few LEDs red or yellow for the mushroom.

5. MULTIFUNCTION BLOCKER STL

Multifunction Blocker STL

Here’s a handy multi-functional blocker.

You can hang your brooms or shovels or anything else you like on it. It can also be used as a doorstop to avoid damaging walls, and as a doorstop if you have a door that closes by itself. In the files, you’ll find a base with holes for screws and a base without holes for those who want to use double-sided tape. I’ve made two dimensions for the flexible TPU print part one that will accept diameters from 18mm to 22mm and one for diameters from 23mm to 28mm.

9. Rocket with Boosters (2 sizes)

Mini 3D Printable Rockets These are fun rockets with boosters that extend on take-off. I designed two sizes and each contain two parts: the main rocket body and the ‘boosters’. I’ve included the following STL models: Large Rocket (complete) Large Rocket (body only) Large Rocket Booster Insert (a set of 4) Small Rocket (complete) Small Rocket (body only) Small Rocket Booster Insert 3D PRINTING SETTINGS Layer Height 0.2mm PLA works great 15-20% Infill Dimensions of Large Rocket: 4in x 2 3/8in Dimensions of Small Rocket: 3 1/4in x 1 7/8in *Supports are needed for the larger rocket at the base around the outside rings of the boosters. (Make sure not to include supports inside the booster chambers because you need to keep those clear to drop the boosters in when you pause the print:) There are two ways you can print these rockets:
  1. Print the complete rocket
  2. For different color rockets and boosters, print the boosters first, print the rocket second pausing at layer height.

10. Desktop Skee-Ball

Desktop Skee Ball 3D Printed Desktop Skee-Ball is not only a super fun desktop game, It’s the best way to procrastinate. This is the most fun desktop game I’ve made so far, and it’s definitely the coolest looking as well. It’s also very aesthetic and can be printed in colors to match your desk setup. These make great gifts but can also be sold for a profit! Components you’ll need to order. All of these should be on Amazon Prime. These are the exact same components as desktop golf. 1. The Balls: 1/4″ Steel Ball Bearings (Amazon) 2. The Magnets: 5×3 mm Small Round Magnets (Amazon) 3. The Tube: 3/8″ ID, 1/2″ OD PVC Clear Vinyl Tubing (Amazon) –Assembly Instructions– Everything goes together in an intuitive way. However, here are some instructions on assembly. Machine
  • Snap the Bottom Cover onto the Machine Base
  • Snap Hole Board into Machine Base
  • Snap-Top Cover onto the Machine Base
  • Insert Clamps into the sides of the Machines
  • Screw screws into clamps and secure to the desk
  • Insert the tube into hole on Bottom Cover
Launcher
  • Install the 2 magnets into the slots as shown below
  • Insert the screw into Launcher, tighten onto the desk
  • Place the Hex Piece into the tee box hex hole
  • Click the Spring onto the hex
  • Insert the Release lever into the hole underneath the Launcher
  • Cut the Tube to length (some sag is fine) and insert it into the tube hole. Start with the tube longer than needed and test to see if the ball has the correct speed. Cut tube shorter if more speed is needed

So there we have it, this week’s top 10 3D print files according to me. With the Fallout TV series airing on Prime it could of quite easily had many more Fallout-inspired printables, but I tried to keep it subtle!
