Skull Castle Desk Tidy Pen Holder

Skull Pen Holder – A Practical Desk Organiser I Designed Myself

Spread the love

I recently created my own skull pen holder design, built to be a practical desk organiser with a bit more personality than the usual pencil pot.

The aim was to make something useful first and decorative second. I wanted a pen holder that would suit a gaming desk, home office, or creative workspace while still doing the simple job of keeping pens, pencils, and tools organised.

Designing the Skull Pen Holder

The design went through several versions before reaching the final model. Early tests helped me:

  • Improve the balance so it wouldn’t tip
  • Widen the pen slot for thicker markers
  • Strengthen the base for everyday use
  • Refine the skull details so they print cleanly

Each change was about making the holder more functional, not just better looking. The final version comfortably holds pens, pencils, stylus pens, and small craft tools while still working as a display piece.

Features

  • Original skull design created by me
  • Works as a pen holder, pencil pot, or tool organiser
  • Stable base for daily use
  • Suits gothic, alternative, and gamer desk setups
  • Available as a finished product or as an STL file

Dimensions & Materials

  • Material: PLA / PETG options
  • Designed for FDM printers
  • Fits standard pens, Sharpies, and Apple Pencil style pens

Why This Design Matters to Me

Creating something from an idea to a real object is always satisfying. This skull pen holder started as a sketch and ended up as a product people actually want on their desks. Seeing it used in real setups has made all the trial prints worth it.

I’ve focused on keeping the design easy to print, practical to use, and distinctive enough to stand out from the usual desk accessories.

Get Yours

More desk and organiser designs are already in progress, but this skull pen holder feels like a solid starting point.
